So you need to choose a driving school for yourself or one of your family members and you wonder - what driving school would be right for you? While most of driving schools would do their job well, each school however might target their specific audience and support their specific set of services which might not work for you individually.

The disadvantage of this option is that you get stuck for one year with one trucking company and in case you intend to leave they will charge you what they have spent on your course. The advantage is you have the job security as soon as you complete your lessons and you do not have to pay any upfront fees from your side.

I have long hair and sometimes a beard, but at least I don't have to wear a tie, I think I'd die. I drive over 500 miles a day, so I change my scenery everyday. If travel is Heavy rigid licence vacation to most, I guess I might be a great host.

The schooling began with nothing but classroom study for the first week or two. If you decide to attend driving school at a HR Truck Licence company....let the propaganda begin! They won't waste any chance at promoting themselves, believe me. They will also make you feel like it is your privilege to be working for them. Get used to that. Now here's your first piece of raw truth about the industry... companies are completely and totally desperate for truck drivers. I mean DESPERATE!

Now that you know how much it costs for tuition, you should also consider other costs like financing, room and board or hotel stays, transportation to the school, amenities etc. Be conscious of the numbers game. It might be $5000 for one school all-inclusive and $4000 for another but you still have to pay for hotel. That makes them the same. So you really have to evaluate the schools and do your due diligence.

Besides the compensation for the work you perform, there are other reasons to consider this type of work. Namely because most trucking companies will also provide health/life insurance and retirement plans. Every companies compensation plan and benefits will differ, so be sure to review them carefully.
